Funeral service for Mary Loraine Hughes, age 92, of Montevallo was held Monday, June 9, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel in Montevallo. The Rev. Albert Pickett officiated. Burial followed at Ryan’s Cemetery. Visitation was held Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Hughes, who passed away June 6, 2008, in Oxford, was a member of Ryan’s Baptist Church in Montevallo and was a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Hughes and her son, Pete Hughes.

She is survived by her daughter, Dot Lovejoy, of Gardendale; sons, Norman (Helen) Hughes of Oxford and Truman (Joy) Hughes of Montevallo; grandchildren, Barry (Tina) Lovejoy of Hayden, Lisa Dawkins of Jemison and Jason (Quenby) Hughes of Boston, Mass.; great-grandchildren, Brittany Lovejoy, Bradley Lovejoy and Brittany Dawkins; and one great great-grandchild, Brandie Dawkins.

Rockco Funeral Home directed
