Funeral service for Ella Mae Watson, age 84, of Prattville, was held Thursday, June 5, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Rockco Funeral Home in Montevallo. David Burns officiated. Burial followed at Mars Hill Cemetery in Jemison. Visitation was held Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at funeral home.

Ms. Watson, who passed away Monday, June 2, 2008, was a lifetime member of National Poetry Society (3 publications).

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ellis Brock and Alice Moore Brock Spencer, and her husband of 50 years, Lewis R. Watson, Sr.

She is survived by her daughter, Tommie Lewis Watson Hosey (Billy); sons, Lewis R. Wason, Jr. (Jan) and Steven W. Watson (Ann); 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

Rockco’s Funeral Home directed
