Funeral service for Kenneth Jeffries, age 61, of Montevallo, was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at Bolton-Letlow Chapel.

Burial followed in Pinelawn Gardens.

Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Jeffries, who passed away on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007 at a local hospital, was born on Jan. 8, 1946 in Louisville, Ky.

Mr. Jeffries was a financial planner and previously taught at the University of Montevallo.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Jeffries; children, Todd (Sunni) Jeffries, Eric (Hayden) Jeffries, Kaley (Bryan) Akins, Shannon (Todd) Conway;

parents, Earl and Lorine Jeffries; sister, Joyce (Roy) Nall; grandchildren, Aaron and Chelsea Roper, Cole, Morgan and Cason Jeffries, Nathan Akins, Caden Conway and a host of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
