Cornerstone Christian tops Lyman Ward

The Cornerstone Christian School baseball team defeated Lyman Ward Military Academy 11-1 in an Alabama Independent Schools Association Class 1A, Area 1 contest March 29.

Hagan Joiner led the Chargers at the plate as he finished 2-for-3 with a triple. Joiner drove in four runs in the victory.

Auston Wingard, Adrian Young, Dalton Lodge and Grant Martin recorded hits for Cornerstone Christian, which improved to 13-4 overall and 1-1 in AISA Class 1A, Area 1.

Tim Warren earned the win on the mound after giving up one run on five hits with five strikeouts in five innings.
