Chargers fall to Sumter Academy

The Cornerstone Christian School football team fell 40-20 on the road at Sumter Academy in its final Alabama Independent Schools Association Class 1A, Region 1 contest Oct. 29.
Josh Anderson led the Chargers with 107 rushing yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.
Dillon Rogers added 85 rushing yards and a touchdown on five carries. Clayton Halbert added 65 rushing yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.
Cornerstone racked up 311 rushing yards in the loss.
Sterling Riether completed 4-of-7 passes for 87 yards, including a touchdown pass to Anderson.
Cornerstone closes out the regular season with an Oct. 29 contest at home against Ashford Academy.
