The Cornerstone Christian School softball team defeated Ellwood Christian 4-0 in its season opener Feb. 28.

Destiny Dillard led the Chargers at the plate with a double. Dillard drove in one run and scored one run in the victory.

Lauren Rodgers and Kailey Goodwin, who each drove in one run and scored one run, finished with a double each.

Laura Beth Franklin finished 1-for-1 at the plate and drove in one run. Allie Toney scored one run in the victory.

Jana Kelbie Armstrong earned the win in the circle after striking out three batters in a complete game.
