Oak Mountain edges Hoover in tennis match

The Oak Mountain High School boys’ tennis team defeated Hoover 5-4 in a high school tennis match March 3.
The Eagles (3-3) won four singles’ match and one doubles’ match against Hoover.
Preston Touliatos of Oak Mountain defeated Christian Lyerly of Hoover 10-7 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Kyle Ehlers of Oak Mountain defeated Hayden Clowers 10-4 in the No. 2 singles’ match.
The Eagles’ Thomas Mason defeated Tripp White of Hoover 10-2 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Jake Marinelli of Oak Mountain fell to Balack Chethan of Hoover 10-5 in the No. 4 singles’ match.
Hunter Dodson of Oak Mountain defeated Michael Maynard of Thompson 10-5 in the No. 5 singles’ match. The Eagles’ Mark Newton fell to Arinash Ananth of Hoover 11-10 in the No. 6 singles’ match.
Touliatos and Ehlers fell to Lyerly and Clowers 10-7 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Mason and Marinelli fell to White and Maynard 10-8 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.
Dodson and Newton defeated Chethan and Raj Patel of Hoover 10-2 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
