The Jaguars took an early 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.

Following White’s lead-off homerun, McDonald drove in a run with his RBI single to right field. Josh Rich followed with a ground out RBI, which gave Spain Park a three-run advantage.

Oak Mountain cut the deficit to 3-1 in the top of the third inning when Dahl led off with a double to deep right field before scoring on a sacrifice fly.

The Eagles trimmed the deficit to 3-2 following a RBI single to left field by Greene in the top of the fifth inning.

With one runner on base in the top of the seventh inning, Dahl’s blast to right field fell just shy of the wall. Back-to-back ground outs by Oak Mountain ended the Eagles’ final scoring threat.

Oak Mountain coach Brian Breeze said he saw plenty of positives in the game defensively.

“We made some tough plays,” Breeze said.
