Hope Christian falls to First Assembly

The Hope Christian School boys’ basketball team fell to First Assembly Christian 54-49 in high school basketball action Nov. 28.

Pete Thomason led the Eagles (1-2) with 11 points in the victory. Thomason also grabbed four rebounds and dished out two assists.

Immanuel Drew and Brandon Fuller added 10 points each. Drew finished with three rebounds, one steal and one blocked shot. Fuller grabbed two boards and finished with one steal.

Cameron Costa chipped in nine points and three rebounds. Seth Burnham finished with seven points and a team-high nine rebounds. Caleb Booker finished with two points and a team-high four assists.

GIRLS

The Hope Christian School girls’ basketball team remained undefeated following a 38-24 win over First Assembly Christian School in high school basketball action Nov. 28.

Brooke Machen led the Eagles (4-0) with nine points in the victory. Machen also grabbed eight rebounds and finished with five steals.

Christina Jones and Leigh Wilson Legg, who had four steals, added eight points each. Jones also finished with four steals and a team-high four assists.

Rachel Holmes, who grabbed eight rebounds, and Rachel Rettig scored four points each. Rettig gabbed three rebounds.

Karlee Tate finished with three points. Lindy Walker added two points.
