Pelham’s Life Church will be giving local women a chance to better their inner and outer beauty on Sept. 13-14 as the church hosts its annual women’s conference.

The conference will begin at 7 p.m. both nights at the church at 1449 Court Place, which is on the mountain behind Pelham’s Old Time Pottery store on U.S. 31.

This year’s conference will be entitled “Split Ends,” and will seek to help local women “overcome those bad hair days in life,” said Leah Bishop, the church’s life groups pastor.

“It’s not necessarily how they look on the outside, but how they look on the inside as well,” Bishop said. “Mostly it’s about the importance of growing as a woman through God.”

The event will be a continuation of the church’s annual “She’s Got the Look Women’s Conference,” and will feature VIP “before parties,” photo booths praise and worship sessions and guest speaker Vivian Goode.
“Vivian Goode is from Destiny Church in Dothan, and she speaks all over the Southeast,” Bishop said, noting Goode turned down a modeling contract to help her husband at the church. “She is a dynamic, powerful woman.”

Registration for the conference is $20 per person, and can be paid by clicking on the event’s link at Wherelifeisgood.com.
